Less communication and less healthiness are strictly false. We beat the shit out of societies just a 100 years old in these categories and do exponentially better the further back you go in comparison. I’m not sure about most of the others.
People in almost every age seem to think they are living in a time where everything is going to Hell. Morality is declining. We’re all losing our way. Blah blah blah. They are almost always wrong. Maybe they are right this time. But I doubt it.
The only one of these I’m certain is true is that we have “more problems”. And that’s simply because population has put such strain on society and planetary resources that it’s created a ton of problems that have never existed. Likewise the invention of brand new technologies have created problems that never existed. The growth in expertise and education has not been proportional to the growth in problems we face. So he’s dead right there.
